Dinuka Mapa completed his VCE at Melbourne High School in 2005 and later pursued a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Commerce at Monash University, Australia. His studies were interrupted by the onset of Schizoaffective Disorder, a challenge that profoundly shaped his understanding of the mind and the nature of reality.

He is the author of Across the Flood: Meditations on Mind, Samsara and Modernity, as well as Project Maelstrom: A Recovery from Schizoaffective Disorder, a vivid memoir chronicling his experiences during his formative years — from completing VCE to navigating university life while living behind his parents’ Sri Lankan restaurant.

Since then, Dinuka has devoted himself to the study of meditation, cognitive psychology (CBT), and philosophy, exploring them as tools for healing the mind from delusion and cultivating insight. His work integrates Buddhist thought, modern psychology, and metaphysical inquiry, seeking to illuminate the path toward self-understanding and liberation
